Wombats & Wallabies & More!!


More photos of our extraordinary day at the Caversham Wildlife Park outside Perth.  We don't know much about wombats, but Wikipedia on Wombats says "Wombats are short-legged, muscular quadrupedal marsupials native to Australia, approximately 40 inches in length with a short, stubby tail.  They are adaptable in habitat tolerance, and are found in forested and mountainous regions of south-eastern Australia.  Wallabies, on the other hand, are much like kangaroos and can bound off quickly and kick with their strong legs to fend off predators. Cuteness abounds . . .
