Guayaquil Goes Gatsby

  Kudos to Stephanie and Dawn (and their husbands) who put on a great Gatsby party this weekend.  Decorations and food and drink were awesome, and everyone had lot of fun.  Some outrageous 20's costumes!! Great times in Ecuador!!

Our favorite triathlete Damon swam, biked, and ran through the Nation's Capital on Sunday, and took second in his 25-29 year old age group!!! We are very proud of Buckey - - - he's been training hard, along with his full time engineering job and playing corporate league soccer.  His girlfriend Jena and sister Heather were there to cheer him on.  Way to go Buckey!!!

Go Lobos!! Go Lobos Marinos!

The UNM Lobos won their season opener against Mississippi Valley State in a blowout, 66-0.  Time to celebrate!!

Lobos Marinos (Spanish for sea lions) may be the cutest animals on the planet.  We saw dozens of them in the Galapagos Islands in July.  We are big Lobos fans, and very big lobos marinos fans!  See what we mean about cuteness . . .

While living in Ecuador at the middle of the world, have been learning a  new game . . . hitting a little white ball around a big piece of real estate.  Am having fun with it, played in a tournament last weekend and will be in another one this weekend.  I usually play with my golf buddies and my loyal caddy Santos at the  beautiful La Costa Country Club, just 20 or so minutes from home.  

As you can see, my form leaves much to be desired, and I take a lot of shots, but a few of my shots are birdies!
