Shelly is awestruck with our new Foreign Service assignment in Washington DC . . . among other things, it means she can have a surprise birthday brunch hosted by her kids on a gorgeous Adams Morgan rooftop and morning. Heather and Chase made spinach mushroom egg bake and Damon and Jena skewered tiny Nutella pancakes with bananas and strawberries! The food was great but took a backseat to family togetherness for a special mom and wife. Happy birthday, Shelly!
