India is a complex, crowded mass of humanity. It is also a place of great peace, reverence, grandeur and tranquility. A friend characterized it correctly as both splendor and squalor. I saw both in my week there. Unbelievable poverty and indescribable beauty. India quickly hits all your senses: you see it, taste it, smell it, feel it, and hear it.
