America Day at St. Nicholas Grammar School, Mauritius

Bulletin Board
On July 2, I got to stand in for our Ambassador at America Day at St. Nicholas Grammar School in the center of Mauritius.  It was delightful to hear these elementary school students sing the Star Spangled Banner, God Bless America, and, among other songs, the Eentsy Weensy Spider and Country Road, Take Me Home.  It was an Ameri-fest!  I had a chance to greet the kids and staff in Mauritian Creole, hearing giggles at my American accent.  It was a great way to appreciate our last Independence Day in Mauritius!
