Bougainvillea comes in all colors, and when the sunshine hits it, there is a surprising brilliance. These days of springtime in the southern hemisphere are high time for this most beautiful of flower bushes. It is delightful to walk or drive along a bougainvillea lined road or path, marveling in the delicate petals that are so brilliant and hardy. For an amateur photographer, put a bougainvillea in the foreground, and the whole picture is successful, no matter what else is in it. Here are some we've been capturing all over the country.
