A Daring Adventure

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. Security does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than exposure.

As we sit in the airport departure lounge, we think about how much we love America, and how much we'll miss our home over the next 2 years.  In just an hour, we'll be wheels up to Paris, then on to our new home in Mauritius.  It's a great time to quickly take stock of the many blessings we have as Americans . . . to speak, to assemble, to pray, to challenge, to hope, to dream, to dare, to travel, to adventure, to risk, to enjoy, and to serve.  Shelly and I are ready and excited to take this next step in our daring adventure.  We could not do this if not for the encouragement, love, and support of our families, friends, neighbors, and colleagues.  Thank you to all of you for bringing us to this moment.  God bless you and God bless the USA!
