A few months ago, we blogged about Valparaiso, Chile and the beautiful murals all over walls of that hillside city. Several friends noted that the Wynwood neighborhood in Miami is similar . . . lots of art in public view with murals and great studios and galleries. On this weekend of Shelly's birthday surprise, we couldn't resist a stroll, and it happened to be the monthly Wynwood Walls art crawl. What a joy! Damon and Jena recommended The Butcher Shop for dinner . . . a great meat-based dining hall and beer garden. Then taking in all the great art in this redeveloping part of town . . . it thrilled my municipal wonkiness! Take a look. |
