Mom was born March 1, 1932 and today would have been her 81st birthday. She LOVED birthdays, and celebrations of every sort . . . it was the presence of friends and family, and even perfect strangers that thrilled Cissie. Heck, she didn't know a stranger, no matter where in the world she was. Six years ago tonight we managed to throw a surprise birthday party for her 75th, and you can see how delighted she was! On her birthday and every day, we fondly remember Mom for everything she meant to us, for her unbounded love, and her soaring spirit. Here's to Cissie . . . the life of the party!
