A special Veterans Day . . . which was called Armistice Day, ending the first world war on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Now it's the 11th year. It's a special day to honor those who have served our country in the uniformed services. A day to honor and appreciate the sacrifices made by these honored few. I grew up in a military family, and know full well the sacrifices made by veterans, and those who now serve. So, to veterans everywhere, thank you for protecting us and the freedoms we cherish. You, your contributions and sacrifices, and those of your families, are not forgotten. Thanks, veterans!
